Review of Paula’s Choice RESIST Serum

Anti-aging Skincare for Women Over 50

I received RESIST Omega+ Complex Serum by Paula’s Choice to review. This is a sponsored post, but I’m not required to express any specific opinion. I’m always on the hunt for the best skincare for women over 50.

RESIST Omega+ Complex Serum by Paula's ChoiceRESIST Omega+ Complex Serum Review

Paula’s Choice claims the RESIST Omega+ Complex Serum is a superfood for your skin. It is a light, liquid cream fluid in a 1-ounce pump bottle. It’s claimed the this serum’s Omega fatty acids strengthen your skin’s surface with essential nutrients that maintain healthy and hydrated skin.

I’ve only heard good things about Paula’s Choice skincare products. I’m big on products contain actual active ingredients. I don’t want to pay for just an expensive bottle of water and fat. This serum seems to contain good stuff, and I definitely noticed a positive change in my skin.

The serum is for Anti-Aging, and used to treat wrinkles in all skin types. My perimenopausal skin is oily, sensitive, and has rosacea. Thankfully, I had no reaction or problem with this product, and I noticed a definite improvement in the look and feel of my skin.

Apply this serum after you cleanse and tone your face and before moisturizer and sunscreen. It’s a light-weight moisturizer by itself, so I used it during the day with no other moisturizer on top of it. For use both in both morning and evening skincare routines. However, since it doesn’t contain SPF, always use a sunscreen of your choice on top of it during the day.

Product Claims

According to Paula’s Choice:

This serum contains robust levels of Omega 3, 6 and 9 oils plus skin-identical ceramides and hydrating ingredients to visibly improve skin’s health.

Concentrated levels of omega fatty acids help replenish dull, dehydrated skin, revive a beautifully smooth, supple feeling plus visibly soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

RESIST Omega+ Complex Serum claims to reduce “signs of fatigue or visible signs of aging such as fine lines, wrinkles and loss of firmness.” Generally I found this to be true during my use of the product.

Upon first use, I thought this was just a nice, light lotion. However, upon continued use, I noticed my skin felt softer and smoother and had less redness on my cheeks where I have rosacea flareups.

The serum is chock full of plant oils, but never left my skin oily. I never felt residue on my face, and it didn’t affect the application of makeup. Before I’ve had treatments that left my skin with a tacky feel, but this sinks in right away and my skin felt clean, soft, and silky afterward. Just like good skin, nothing else.

I don't have rosacea but I do have redness, so this sounds like a product I would like to try. On my list!
