Valentine’s Day Ideas for Single People

Non-Romantic Valentine Ideas

It’s almost Valentine’s Day! It’s not my favorite holiday, because it can make people feel lonely or sad. I suggest focusing on someone else who might be in the same situation and spread a little love and sunshine to them. Please make the most of the holiday and get living no matter what your couple status is.

Here are some suggestions for making Valentine’s Day special.

Have a Galentine’s Party.

Get together with your best girlfriends. Don’t even bother trying to book a restaurant. Instead either dress up and have cocktails at home, or hang out in leggings watching movies. Do it the day after V-Day and stock up on discounted chocolate!

Get Crafty.

Make simple, hand-made Valentines. Send to your mom, a niece, or an older relative who is alone. There’s just something special about taking time to create beauty.

Give Unto Others.

Plan some charity work. After Thanksgiving and Christmas are over, charities see a drop in donations and volunteers. See if your local animal shelter or food pantry needs your time or money.

Pamper yourself.

You don’t need an excuse to get a facial, massage, or a spa pedicure. Do it just because it makes you feel good.
