Are You a Pro-craftinator?

Need some "Pinspiration" to try some of those recipes you pin to Pinterest? #ad #Clorox2 #MotivationMonday

Pinterest is one of my favorite social media platforms. Sure I use it for business, but I find it very relaxing to scroll through my Pinterest feed when I have a few minutes to myself. Just re-pinning makes me feel crafty.

I do have a craft board on Pinterest, but it’s called “Crafts I Am Never Going to Do, but Will Probably Buy the Supplies for Anyway,” because I know myself. I’m a pro-craftinator.

There was my scrapbooking addiction of the early 2000s. My knitting years. The time I thought I’d sew more of my families’ clothes. Dark times indeed.

My Pinterest boards for food run the gamut from approachable (casseroles, or crock pot recipes) to aspirational (fine dining, or recipes not involving ground beef.) Mostly, I’d just like the motivation to take a recipe from procrastination to inspiration.

Now is the time!

The holidays are our opportunity to do that craft, bake that fancy cake, paint that decorative moose, whatever a decorative moose is.

Go through your Pinterest pins and pick out one to create for real this week. Pick something that looks delicious from your favorite blogger or food website. List out any ingredients you need from the store, get them, and get to baking.

I wanted to combine my love of chocolate and caramel, so I decided to actually bake this salted caramel brownie pinned to my Taste and See recipe board.

Step one after getting the ingredients ready is to strap on an apron. I’m what you’d call a messy baker. Things get out of control while stirring and baking. And tasting. Quality control is so important!

I found this recipe easy to follow. I fudged (tee hee) the recipe a bit and used salted caramel sauce from a jar. Worked great!

Here’s how mine turned out.

Salted caramel brownies

Not bad! I was thrilled I turned an aspirational pin into real-life yumminess.

I may have spilled a little bit of batter on my favorite striped shirt, but I know I can cook, craft, and DIY to my heart’s content since I am a laundry ninja.

The secret to being a laundry ninja is having the right products on hand. For me that means Clorox 2® Stain Remover & Color Booster is in my laundry room so I don’t have to think twice about creative crafting or a messy baking session messing up my clothes. Chocolate spills don’t stand a chance since Clorox 2® keeps me looking good as new when the project is done.

Test out some of those neglected DIY pins, and let me know how it goes and if you have any messes along the way.

Enter for a chance to win this Clorox prize pack that includes:

  • Clorox 2® Stain Remover & Color Booster Liquid
