You’ll Love this Pomegranate Martini Recipe

The best holiday martiniMove over Cosmopolitan… The Pomegranate Martini is all the rage. This sexy ruby cocktail is loaded with antioxidants and full of flavor thanks to the fresh pomegranate juice.

I love to drink pomegranate juice daily, adding it to iced green tea, so it makes sense to enjoy it in a pretty martini. It’s fruity, tart and not too sweet.  Plus, adding a little orange liqueur and a splash of lime juice to complete this dreamy cocktail

For the final touch, dip the glass in a bit of sugar, if desired and garnish with a lime slice. This is sure to wow your guest!

Food Facts
Since antiquity, the pomegranate has been the object of mysticism.  With its delicious plump seeds and remarkable health benefits, it often appeared in early paintings as a symbol of hope, resurrection and eternal life.

Cointreau is an imported orange liqueur from France.  It has the flavor of fresh orange peels with a hint of spice.

Healthy Benefit
Pomegranate juice is so good for you. Numerous studies have shown it can help to prevent heart disease, protect against some cancers and help in lowering bad cholesterol.

Shopping Tips
My favorite pomegranate juice is a brand called Pom Wonderful 100% Pure Pomegranate Juice.  You can find it in most supermarkets or use your favorite.

Cointreau can be found in many supermarkets or in liquor stores.
