Andrea Tabler shares fashion and beauty tips, recipes and more on her blog, Tabler Party of Two. We love this idea to DIY a scarf into a vest – what an easy way to update an outfit!
Vests are a great wardrobe investment to help transition into fall, and long vests are so popular this year. Now you can repurpose your favorite large scarf and turn it into a vest for fall!
How to Turn a Scarf into a Vest
First, lay out your pashmina or scarf with no folds.
Next, fold the scarf in half, length wise.
Then fold it width wise one more time.
Now take the two corners at the top and tie them in a small knot.
Finally, open the scarf back up and you will see what has become you arm holes.
When you put it on, the knot will be at about the base of your neck. It’s a racerback vest. Here’s how it looks on! You can, of course use a smaller scarf to make a shorter vest.
So easy! I’d love to hear about your new vest creations!
