Five Easy Ways To Practice Gratitude

gratitude, how to feel grateful, happinessLeanne can be found on her blog, Cresting The Hill, sharing her discoveries about how wonderful this time of life is, how she has developed her self-worth and how easy it is to practice gratitude. She would love for you to stop by and say hi.

My daughter went to an in-service training course a few weeks ago and shared with me the 21 Day Gratitude Practice they had been encouraged to do. It seemed like a great way to take the focus away from all the troubles in the world and to think about all the little blessings that come our way.

Five Simple Ways To Practice Gratitude

Sometimes it’s hard to be grateful when life overwhelms us, so here are five Gratitude Practices that I thought would be easy to do and could make life a little sweeter:

1. Make The Call

Take a few minutes to call someone you haven’t talked to for a while and tell them they are appreciated.

2. Share The Picture

Take a photo of a thing, person or place that you appreciate and share it on social media.

3. Compliment Yourself

Stand in front of the mirror and find five things you appreciate about yourself – write them down.

4. Be Positive

Today look at the world with positivity. Choose kindness and refrain from criticism.

5. Say Thank You

Write a thank you note to a friend (or to yourself) focusing on what you are grateful for.

Perhaps you have a few of your own Gratitude tips to add to these in the comments – if you do, I’d love to hear what they are.

Leanne

Hi! I'm Leanne. I’m a happy empty nester living in Australia and blogging (at crestingthehill.com.au) about my midlife journey. I want to share the joys and challenges of this stage of life and counteract the negativity associated with getting older. There is so much to be grateful for and to look forward to, and I’m loving sharing my story with others who are walking the same path.
